Is Your Blog or Social Network Losing its Appeal?

by Zaya 21. April 2009 14:20

Today I read an interesting blog by Andrew Keen called "Blogging is dead, but long live the blog".  The synopsis of this blog is that those blogs that offer a portal for social interaction will "live long" while those that simply provide static (not interactive) information will die out.  I gave it some thought and I disagree...in a way...  Blogs are not dying and social networks are not only popular until the next one comes along unless they choose to be defeated.  I know a lot of people that were using one particular social network a lot for a long time, but now they have switched to another, stating that it is more attractive and user friendly.  Then, this social networking platform changed its layout and all of a sudden people started debating whether or not to leave this social network, but there isn't a better substitute for it yet.  The result?  They stay and await something better.

Zack and I have discussed the problem of "dying social networks and blogs".  My opinion is that social networks and blogs that appear to have few followers/members or  appear to be losing popularity are not dying.  Well, not if they choose to keep up with current internet trends, needs of their followers/members and embrace change.  Nothing can stay the same and remain interesting forever.  I sure am glad!  I would be quite bored, otherwise!  We all like to be comfortable with the way things are, however; once Brands, bloggers, social networks and non-profits/NGO's and MORE begin working together instead of independently of one another, I believe that we will see real, global change that will completely shift the way we way we view social media as it exists today.  Brand awareness will become brand empowerment meaning that consumers will actually be aware of their loyalty to brands/bloggers/social networks and this realization will have them seeking more from those entities.  Societies that currently struggle around the globe will be able to become self-sustaining much more quickly.

Sound too good to be true?  No way. Zack and I have been working very hard and now we know exactly how to help everyone achieve the goals they want regarding these internet shifts while making a positive global impact.  Economical, societal and ecological balance in the world by utilizing what already exists on the internet and bringing it to the internet users,  by working smarter, not harder!   No matter what the size of your business, blog  or social network, you may find that Zack Brandit's incredible platform is just what you have been looking for.  As a consumer that enjoys simple, savvy shopping on the internet, ZackBrandit will very likely save you a lot of time and introduce you to some amazing products you have never heard of!  If you have more questions, I love meeting people and talking!  I would be happy to tell you more about it.

A reason for change or a change for reason?

by ZackBrandit 17. February 2009 16:44

Societal shifts often occur after a change in leadership has taken place or when society needs adapting to demographical transformations such as growth or shrinking of the population. Change has different faces and can be experienced differently depending on the area, situation and time we live in. Though change has different faces, it is often represented by a few or just one unique person. Charismatic leaders are thus succeeding into gathering participants and saturating society with their views on societal improvement for better or worse.

Thanks to the industrial revolution and technological advancements of the 20th century, Western civilization had never been so healthy. The economy boomed, became global and became a place where opportunity flourished; thus resulting in the creation of a strong middle class.

It seems today that the other side of the coin has caught up with us. Since the second half of 2008 we’ve seen many institutions tumble down, showing us the limitations of the actual social and economic model. People tend to become risk averse and when such times arrive, they are looking for a shining beacon to help them move forwards.

This is where social media becomes so important! People turn to a community where information is free, vast and quickly available. Solutions are sought out by turning to those who are perceived as the experts. Often those seeking solutions find peace in being able to find information right away, available right at their fingertips.

How do we assess what went wrong and how is one person to repair it? How do people thrive within a struggling economy? How are people to live affordably while maintaining a quality of life that they are happy with? These are all valid questions that members of our global, online community are seeking. Those providing information that can solve problems for the masses are playing a role much bigger than perhaps they ever could have imagined!

As members of this huge club called Earth, we have an important part to play, to define and, in the process, we are all redefining the dynamics of tomorrow. What will each individual’s part of the puzzle be? How will individuals define how they fit into this “global puzzle” and in terms of dynamics, what can we expect to see?   Let’s tap into our social networks to find out!

Zack is here to help!!  And what kind of help will he offer? Humbly, he will offer any kind of help he can to the best of his ability – connecting individuals within this global community to offer information and resources at the click of a button!

We are currently enveloped in the age of information and now we embark upon this new age of reason.  This is a time where we learn from mistakes and gain from the knowledge we have collected as a result of these mistakes.  Perhaps there are no mistakes, but rather; learning experiences; if we are able to take what we have learned and create something better and more beneficial for everyone within our community while focusing on how to better ourselves.

With the internet, we hold an amazing tool in our hands! It provides us with extensive features and raw power to achieve global impact and redefine globalization. So we can be positive about our future and work together on new projects for the change for reason!

Please comment and offer feedback! We are here because of YOU!
